What is press brake die
Everyone knows press brake is a very necessary tool for metal forming workers,however,why is it? Because the press brake can do all kinds of thing to form metal.Today,we would like to talk about this and clarify the doubt.The design of press brake is simply,actually,it only have a upper mould and bottom table. The engineer can install different press brake die into the upper mould. That is why press brake can do everything.
Style
Nobody knows how many styles of press brake die. As long as you want,the manufacturer can do. Of course, this is from your usage too.for example,if you want to bend a rolling bottle,then,you need A style die.if you want to bend into line,then, you need B style die.
Material
The material of press brake is made of cold steel.it is much more harder than mild steel and stainless steel. Other wise,the die will damage before bending. There are several steel styles for die with different price, if you usually use this machine, of course, you need to use the best steel style even if it will cost you a lot. If you are very less to use this press brake machine, you can choose the cheapest one.
Experience
Even though you can find lots of factories that can produce this die,but their quality can not promise forever.so, we advise you to choose the factory with a good reputation. They can offer you a better quality.Especially for small countries,it is better to import from oversea than choose from local place. Of course,you do not need to do this if you are in a industry country. We have noted that there are some sellers in the ebay, in our opinion, you can believe in them.
Time
It would take at least two weeks to produce a good die,because the workers need to spend some time to grind the surface of mould. This is related to the life time.it is not time to be urgent.Here, we only recommend you to sign a purchase order to protect your benefit.
Shipping
This is a key problem too because the press brake is very heavy and long.In most situation, you can not suitable Express to ship. We advise you to use logistic truck or bus.the shipping cost is very low even though it need longer time.You can place the die in their bus,then inform the receiver the arrival time of this bus. According to our experience,there are no any risk for this way.
Use
Please kindly ask manual or notes from die factory. you need to pay more attention to these advise,then,you can have long life time for press brake.We have noted that some operators hate this but you really should insist on them.
Size
Each die is very precise,other wise,it can not place into press brake machine.you should count into 0.01mm when you send production order to factory.We strongly recommend to use fax.,Not phone.Even if there some wrongs to happen, you can claim under the fax.
